Graduate Life Fellows

Graduate Life Fellows

We are now taking GLF applications! The deadline to apply is APRIL 5

Each year the Center for Graduate Life & Learning selects seven graduate students to serve as liaisons to graduate student peers across campus. The Graduate Life Fellows act as mentors and listen carefully to their peers to discover new ways to support graduate student success. They then suggest, and help to create and execute programming. Their input and unique ability to provide the graduate student perspective is invaluable. Grad Life Fellows also build awareness of CGLL workshops, programs, courses, and initiatives through word-of-mouth, social media, and visits to graduate classes and organizations.

The Fellows are leaders with the opportunity to impact graduate education at UNC Charlotte and obtain valuable professional development training. GLFs receive a $6,000 award (divided into 2 payments) for the academic year.

Eligibility requirements

GLFs must:

  • Be full-time students living in the Charlotte area during the academic year of their term
  • Have completed at least one year of graduate-level coursework at Charlotte
  • Have a GPA of at least 3.0 and be in good standing
  • Not have served as a GLF during a prior year

International students and students who hold an assistantship are welcome to apply!
