Dr. Jill S. Huerta

Jill Huerta joined UNC Charlotte in July 2018 as Director of the Center for Graduate Life, where she and her team provide professional development, wellness, and community-building to support the success of 5000+ graduate students. Dr. Huerta’s prior experience includes six years as Associate Director for the MBA program at the University of Michigan, managing recruitment and admissions, as well as more than a decade of experience teaching U.S. History.  Her educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Michigan and a doctorate in U.S Business History from Michigan State University, where her research analyzed the politics behind late 20th century U.S. banking deregulation.
