September 26, 2019 - 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM
Center for Graduate Life, Cone 268

This workshop has been canceled and will be rescheduled soon.  Continue to check the CGL calendar for the rescheduled date.

Facilitated by Dr. Jennifer Webb, Associate Professor of Health Psychology

Whether you are a new graduate student or in your last year of doctoral study, let’s face it, graduate school is rough! It can be especially challenging for grads who are parents, or have other caretaking responsibilities, such as caring for an aging parent, or even both. It’s more than the need for sleep, exercising or eating right. It’s about taking care of yourself on a much deeper level, on a more mindful level.

Join Dr. Jennifer Webb, Associate Professor of Health Psychology to hear the latest research evidence supporting self-compassion as an adaptive approach to self-regulation, as well as engage in self-compassion practices developed by internationally-renown mindfulness and self-compassion scholar practitioners. You will have the opportunity to discuss your experiences and learn more about additional self-compassion resources.
